A chicken that is allowed to roam without being confined and feeds on naturally grown crops, consuming only a natural diet. This is unlike most commercially raised chickens, which are confined to feed lots where the food consumed is commercially produced. Free Range chickens are not given antibiotics, growth hormones or stimulants to keep them from being exposed to unwanted chemicals.
